The action picks right back up from Session seven back on September 24th but a lot of real life happened inbetweeen folks. Back to the action!
Last night's game was an 'Into the Fire' session with the Victorious rpg where we had to clean out a nest of Martians under Manhattan. Needless to say that things didn't go as planned. This was our first game since the passing of two of our players some months back.
So DM Steve was at the helm & we're now in the middle of the invasion! We've been encountering & blasting the legs out from any walkers that we saw. When we got to the nest things got very dicey as the sky around was a weird purple & blue light!
We dicided to go through giant hole blasted in the side & my werewolf changed into wolf form to scout ahead! I nearly got got my head torn off by Tenebrous worms these things are from the Advanced Dungeons & Dragons Monster Manual II!
These things were feeding on the corpses of the Martian victims! They came at our group & May's PC Mercy went down! Her corpse wasn't recovered! The Crimson Crusader cut a wide swath through the ranks of the worms with his sword Benediction.
The whole damn place was infested with the things! Our healer Sister Abagail went to work with a protective scroll that she had & went on with the healing. We're going to be bogged down when we heard the chanting & the Martian cultists. That's when we saw it! The Martian we had dealt with last session! Steve was pulling out all of the stops!
The thing hissed something to his followers & the Crimson Crusader our Arthurian paladin broke rank & went ballistic! He used a protection from evil to push back the horde rushing our way! But will we survive?
