I'ruamekis The Space Brood From The Profane Planet

"There have been times when only a hair's-breadth has intervened betwixt myself and the seething devil-ridden world of madness; for the hideous knowledge, the horror- blackened memories which I have carried so long, were never meant to be borne by the human intellect. "
— Clark Ashton Smith

The I'ruamekis lurk within the negative Chakra spaces of the Outer Darkness & swim through the whorls in space between white & black holes.  They are attracted to the vibrational energies of  Super Science powers & often attach themselves to the hulls of passing ships in hyper spacial reality.
The worms slowly draw themselves to the passengers where they feel on life force through  spinning sphere of bioenergetic activity emanating from the major nerve ganglia branching forward from the spinal column. They attack all aspects of auras including  into the three types: etheric, main, and spiritual. They continue to feed as the victim begins to waste over the hours. Even when a save vs poison is made the spiritual toxic waste these things leave behind is a major problem & hampers normal healing from damage. Worse still is the worm drains off psi points at a rate of 1 to 2 per hour. The worm may attack with an aural acid spit attack that does 1D8 points of damage.
Since the worms extend into 5 areas of Minkowski space time. Many scientists feel that once they have been healed with super science powers the threat is ended. These monsters often leave behind eggs that break from the main body & hatch within the real physical space doing 1d4 points of damage as the embryo breaks into the normal space time!
These creatures are often found aboard space wrecks where worms can lay dormant for as long as 500 years or so.  The space brood are considered a major threat as they  may infect entire worlds! Some space yoga masters have been known to spend entire life times travelling from planet to planet clearing these parasite infections from space!
