Review & Commentary On Earth Sector By John Watts From Independence Games For Both Old School Traveller & Cepheus Engine Rpg

"Earth Sector is an extension of Independence Games' Clement Sector setting.  Earth Sector is its own setting, united by the past background before the Conduit Collapse in 2331, and then branching off in a new direction.  This is the core setting book for this new setting within the overall Clement Sector universe.

Earth Sector is not a standalone game.  You will need the rules provided in Clement Sector: The Rules, Cepheus Engine, or any 2d6 science fiction rules in order to play.  It is highly recommended, but not necessary, that you are also familiar with the Clement Sector setting and its background.

Whereas Clement Sector is a collection of independent worlds, Earth Sector is ruled by the nation-states of Earth.  Many of the nations of Earth hold multiple star systems in their grasp across the sector though, in some places, that grasp is slipping."

Overview

While the weather has been playing screw around we've been busy taking full advantage of the last days of the Traveller rpg & Cepheus Engine sale. This is especially true of Independence Games Earth Sector book.  The idea here is that Earth of this sector is an interstellar power to be reckoned with but there are old as well as new rivalries. This is an Earth at the universe & its own throat but there is plenty of opportunity here for adventure or exploration. The quality is solid & the writing on par with Independence Games other titles. This is a good solid book and perfect for a DM looking to exploit the Earth sector for their home campaign games. The Games Earth Sector  can & will use intergalatic war on its rivals both at home & aboard in the Clement sector.

Highlights

Is there anything better then a book that does what its supposed to do?! Impressions

Independence Games Earth Sector book is a solid addition for a Celpheus Engine rpg DM's kit. Independence Games Earth Sector book.  hits the high marks for several reasons. One its a really good book for setting Earth as both power base & as an antagonist for a Celpheus Engine rpg campaign. The book covers a campaign set up right & does it with very little fuss. And it does this by dealing with the interstellar colonies of Earth in a very straight forward & yet no nonsense way. This is an earth that is on the boiling point but in a way that hits the highmarks from the ground up.
