 These monsters are often encountered in space wrecks & hulks where they lay in wait. Once within their grasp these monsters spring into action. They have jaws that can open most space suits with easy & begin sucking down the blood of most near human species. There is speculation that these creatures are the remains of an ancient bio weapons program. Even if the victim survives the exposure to vacuum the monsters both suck blood leading to a drain of constitution of 1 point per round. The second problem is the spreading of disease, Please consult the Dungeon Funk table  for possible side effects or the dungeon master has discretion on which horrible disease these monsters carry! The monsters also inject a modified egg package which will hatch within 1d4 days into 1d6 small fleas who will be exceedingly hungry. Super science medicine will cure an infestation of these creatures & their eggs.
Space Fleas can lie dormant for centuries before a warm body activates them. The creatures are each 2 foot long & very densely armored for a creature their size. There is bio metallic element to their armor but many cultures think of their remains as dirty & unclean.These cultures refuse to make products from their remains.
Those who engage in combat with these monsters often pick up a certain amount of their egg packages & a careful search will only pick them 10% of the time. Please use a percentage dice roll to determine if eggs might be present.Those ships infested with these parasites will have to undergo a 6,000 credit process upon their ship or the infection may return.
