Actual Play Wednesday - Revenge of The Players

The players came across a debris field from a fierce space battle. A battle cruiser from the Space Empire had engaged & lost a battle. The debris was carbon scored to within an inch of itself. The field was surrounded by a mix of magnetic sand, black glass particles, & nanites. The winning combatant had laced the area with a going away present. The players lost one robotic drone getting to the debris but were able to claim salvage of over 55 metric tons of metal from the cruiser & some other unidentifiable other wrecks!
Then everything went to hell!

The players last time we ended sent a robotic drone of theirs armed with a nuclear weapon headed toward a minor npc enemy & not only destroyed a fuel station but it resulted in a tremendous amount of damage which threw them out of hyperspace!
This shredded my plot for the game this night! Not a problem!
This was in the first five minutes of the game, the next 2 minutes had  me reaching for a map of a local mall &  rolling up a quick set for a system of worlds. The charts said that the system was metal poor & they had picked up a space yard.
They were in the middle of nowhere squared out in the boondocks of  the Human Empire
The mall became a 2 story space yard with 5 space locks with a ton of activity going on & immediately a bidding war started for their cargo as they got pinged by sensors.
The bidding had a group of android space pirates, an insect hive mind, the minor House of Norstrom, & an unknown party.
The minor house won immediately & they learned that they were the big fish in a very small pond. The entire space yard was basically undercutting the Sporcery Guild by offering cheap transportation. Norstrom  is a mining concern whose prime business came from strip mining meteors & such. The rest of these minor operators zip stripped any space craft  they ran across for metal.

After several skill rolls the players made some money then were properly taxed by the yard for a cost of doing business tax, plus Galactic National bank( a fringe bank out if there ever was) fees as well. They were invited to dock at the minor house & with full security detail they began the metal transfer because they sold to all interested parties.

Now with a bit of loot they began the task of restocking their ship! Stores had begun to get low. The entire party began to shop for weapons, clips, etc. Here's where the mall layout came in very handy. The guys were very surprised that a fringe system would be very well stocked. Then they had their picture taken, it seems they're a bounty on all of their heads  for planetary genocide! Dun Dun Dun!
There's a plot twist but it will wait till next week! We ended on a cliff hanger as the party was confronted by a group of alien bounty hunters!
