High Tech Mysticism & High Caliber Adventure - Summer of Sin! Return To The Nazi Mega-Dungeon Moonbases Part Two

Introduction
" The Archangel Recovery team is en route to the the Moon. The mission is a go!"

'The Archangel Team'
The PC's consisted of Hans Gerber - Pilot/ 3rd level fighter
Anna Chang - Cleric and Medical officer 3rd level
Philip Masters -  Black Ops Wizard And Mythos Specialist 5th level
William Mac Nays - 4th level Specialist and Co Pilot

The Team was landing near vault 668 and from details received from Project Paperclip. They had a pretty good idea of the layout of the place. Rolls went well. The mission so far was going smoothly.
The party landed near the old saucer hangers and disembarked!

As it was revealed last entry on this game. There were definate secrets held within the sealed air locks.
Right over HERE

Rumble At Vault 668 The party managed to get the doors to the airlock opened and began their exploration. They were armed with a number of experimental energy beam weapons recovered from the failed Martian Invasion of 1955. These had been retrofitted with energy packs and had proved effective during the Taurus Incident in '77.
The halls were silent and much of the place was a wreck but there was atmosphere and a they were able to begin exploration in earnest.

The party first encountered hundreds of caresses of non human insectiods stacked up like cord wood. The players were a bit to trigger happy and burned two of the corpses. The light, heat, and noise attached some strange Lovecraftian jelly beast that quickly caused the party to flee!  It seemed to  absorb their energy blasts and came back for more!

The party  almost bought it as they fell down a thirty foot hole into the next level. They weren't prepared for the artificial gravity.
The PC's got their first look at some 'Black Sun' technology. A pair of 'Zero point alien generators' were still functioning in the base! Quietly humming along and supplying power!
They also found their first dead astronaut. They found the corpse of USAF Pilot Jay Fry from the failed '76 Star Dust mission. The corpse looked as if it it had been ripped in half by something. There were dried organic slime all over the remains. His blaster pistol's power cell had been completely drained!  The party made notes and continued on!

About 200 yards from the corpse the PC's ran into their first Shaggoth! They got off a few blasts and ran as fast as possible! The thing rattled them quite badly. They hid off in a store room and began to catch their breath!

"It was a terrible, indescribable thing vaster than any subway train—a shapeless congeries of protoplasmic bubbles, faintly self-luminous, and with myriads of temporary eyes forming and un-forming as pustules of greenish light all over "
