Masters of The Psycho Fluids- The Pirate's Spirit Tamer

A Masters of The Psycho Fluids sits with his chosen psi sword  staring deep into the Outer Darkness

But are not the dreams of poets and the tales of travellers notoriously false?

H. P. Lovecraft

They are the masters of the psycho fluids that move between the Outer Darkness.Part healer, part scientist, & part monster slayer. They are those whose spiritual connections among the pirate societies single them out for something greater. The scientist also enters supernatural realms or dimensions to obtain solutions to problems afflicting the pirate community. These scientists may visit other worlds/dimensions to bring guidance to misguided souls and to ameliorate illnesses of the human soul caused by foreign elements
The psycho fluid is accessed through the mind of the scientist by using psycho active substances & space yoga techniques. The psycho fluid acts as a buffer between the real & the implied or imagined. The scientist must choose his path carefully & court the favor of certain planar creatures. Becoming a master is usually a result of deliberate consideration, not a necessity forced by the spirits.
Many see these masters as simply another form of witch or psychic user. They are far more refined than that, the cycle of the universe allows them to take on a wide variety of  alien life forms. They study  "The Way" often accessing the psycho fluid & shedding they're physical forms at the start of evening. A skill roll is made & the shift quickly happens as the new characteristics replace the current physical form of the master.
Often times these shapes taken on by the masters seem to have many of the same super science abilities  including: telepathy, energy bolts, mass manipulation, energy/matter mimicry, and shape shifting.
Many times the Masters are called in when some other planar entity has been offended or a natural stellar formation is needed for a particular raid. These beings become part spirit as they grow older & wiser. Sometimes the universe itself absorbs them for reincarnation.

Masters of The Psycho Fluids use a much weaker version of the Monster From The Id power to call their charges from the Outer Darkness. This creates a temporary pseudo-mental body for 1d4 +5 hit points for the planar creature. The Masters of The Psycho Fluid also uses a much weaker version of the disintegrate power to instantly destroy any creature that does not cooperate with said master. A ring of mental energy is created at the beginning of the planar exercise. An intelligence roll is made first before any part of this process can begin. The exchange between the planar entity & the master should be role played out. The Masters of The Psycho Fluids gains his abilities at 3rd level & must continue to improve his arsenal of true planar names throughout his career by spending 10-100 credits per level in a guild library.
Among the pirate worlds the Masters of The Psycho Fluids are often called in by Master Alchemists to summon dangerous elemental beings from beyond the smokeless fire. The price is high indeed for the forging of some of the very dangerous artifacts.

But more wonderful than the lore of old men and the lore of books is the secret lore of ocean.
H. P. Lovecraft
Only when a master has had 42 centuries of service to the pirate worlds may he acquire the title of  Le Grand Mogol which is given to him by the other masters of the psycho fluids.Only then may he begin to start passing on his knowledge to younger apprentices. For the psycho fluid grants a sort of immortality for a price.
