Shadows Over Olisipo is the Wretched Epogue Portugal sourcebook and it's a wicked one. Portugal is a hot bed of 19th century intrigue and dangerous politics. Shadows Over Olisipo dives deep below the usual mundane day to day activities to give us a picture of a country in turmoil. The knife edge of World War I is a storm brewing just outside of the goings on of Shadows Over Olisipo. Europe is a mess in every sense of the word & Portugal is a microcosm of this. Portugal's supernatural world isn't much better with a mix of intrigue and horror ripped right into the real world. Murder, mystery, and more await the PC's in  the Wretched Epogue Portugal. The layout, graphic design, and more in Shadows Over Olisipo are very well done. These are up to the usual standards of the Red Room. 

Shadows Over Olisipo hits all of the right notes for  the Wretched Epogue rpg giving the player's PC's a very dangerous and devisive playground in the form of 19th century Portugal. 19th century Portugal isn't a lawless land but it is a very dangerous one with the supernature bubbling just below the presser cooker of the skin of reality. Murder,necromany, and worse are right within the path of anti hero PC's. Crime, passion, and horror are the byword within  Shadows Over Olisipo. And this only the surface here within. Used correctly and Shadows Over Olisipo could provide years of game play with many of the Wretchedverse rpg titles. 

Is Shadows Over Olisipo well done?! In a word yes, Shadows Over Olisipo lives up to the reputation for excellence in horror that we've seen in a number of the Red Room's rpg titles. Grab this one if you want to set your OSR horror rpg's with Europe or near Portugal there's some fantastic ideas, and monsters within it!
