Given the amount of BS going on with Cowards of the Coast, I've decided to keep my head down & get back to our Marvel Super Heroes rpg campaign. And thanks to the Marvel Super Heroes RPG: The Unofficial Canon Project Facebook group. We're moving forward with the next wrinkle of the campaign. We're moving from MA7 To MA6 which is MA6 The Silver Age Sourcebook by Keith A. Kilburn. This sourcebook is available in both the Marvel Super Heroes RPG: The Unofficial Canon Project Facebook group files section or the group's G drive under the file heading 'MA Accessories' with the title MA6 The Silver Age Sourcebook by Keith A. Kilburn.
So what does MA6 The Silver Age Sourcebook by Keith A. Kilburn bring to the table?MA6 brings the heroes from the end of World World II straight into the Exploitive Seventies. We get a boat load of various pre Avenger's Intiative teams & looks into Marvel Plastic era teams like the 'Monster Hunters'. And then we get the mover & shakers of the Marvel comics universe with characters like the original Colonal Nick Fury, The Agents of Atlas, The 70's Avengers, The First Line, & even pre Fantastic Four solo heroes.
Everything within the pages of the MA6 The Silver Age Sourcebook has the same attention to detail, beautiful layout, and everything we've come to expect from The Unofficial Canon Project Facebook group various supplements from this group. And especially the design & development work of Keith Kilburn.
So what's all this mean for our own heroes of New Ashford?! It means that they've time jumped ahead ten years into the Fifties & there are very few answers. The Tall man is still wrecking havoc on small towns across America. And the old familar faces of enemies & colhorts are still there. But this is a very different world that they've been thrown into.
And for the supernatural Marvel heroes the rush of the tide is on. During the Fifties there was an alien invasion on & this has dire consquences for the supernatural as well as the heroic community. It's not only the heroes who get the treatment in MA6. There are a ton of solo & minor operators in this supplement.
And there's more such as the rise of the Deviants & thier horrors stirring across the world. And that's one of the in's that we've got here for our own brand of heroes. Terrrors & things that move through the cracks have to be handled by someone. And not everything is going to be handled by the Avengers 1959 or the Monster Hunters. The Shadows are extremely long lived & our group wants to handle some of the supernatural threats lurking in the long shadows or forgotten places.
MA6 The Silver Age Sourcebook by Keith A. Kilburn is a solid addition to the Marvel Superheroes rpg fanon. And does an excellent job of handling the period of the end of the World War II Golden Age of Heroes & the first appearance of the Fantastic Four. Grab this one if you can.
