The Ghost of Hong Kong by Steve Miller Pulp Hero and the Trail to San Moros, CA - Very Evil & Very Nice Part II

Danhausen and Joe Hendry distracted the brother enforcers with a curse and a song enabling them to get hit with a nasty shot by Mae Ling. A single promethean bullet ended the lives  of  The Crimsiki Brothers (Anton & Viktor) shot by the  assassin Mae Ling.  This session picks right up from

The Ghost of Hong Kong by Steve Miller Pulp Hero and the Trail to San Moros, CA - Very Evil & Very Nice

The PC's found the Ascendant kids that were getting ready to be shipped out by the Green Lizard's henchmen.
Joe Hendry teleported in with one of the PC's aka Fire Fight who was covered by Mae Ling and the kids were freed. They were under drug induced comas for easy transportation and that's when Fire Fight took the fight to the Green Lizard's minions.

Fire Fight's powers are unsettling to say the least. As soon as he found out about about the kids Fire Fight contacted The Black Bat! We ended here today!

NPC Profile: Fire Fight

Real Name: Aiden "Flashover" Vance

Archetype: Transmuter / Speedster Hybrid

Alignment: Vigilante (Heroic-leaning)

Fire Fight is not a typical teleporter who vanishes and reappears instantly. Instead, he transforms into a sentient, high-velocity stream of superheated plasma. To the observer, he looks like a white-hot streak of lightning that "splashes" onto its destination.

Powers & Attributes (Ascendant Mechanics)

Fire Fight’s mobility is categorized under Spatial Displacement, but it carries the Elemental (Fire/Plasma) descriptor, meaning he is susceptible to powers that dampen heat or manipulate energy.

  • Tactical Teleportation (The Plasma Dash): He can move between points within his line of sight almost instantaneously. Unlike standard teleportation, he must have a clear path; he cannot pass through solid walls unless they have a low enough Melting Point to be vaporized during his transit.

  • Thermal Displacement: When he "arrives" at a location, he releases a concentrated burst of thermal energy. This acts as a Point Blank Area Effect (PBAE) attack, dealing Fire damage to anyone within a 2-meter radius of his exit point.

  • Flash Ignition: Fire Fight can choose to leave a trail of burning ionized air behind him. Any character crossing the path he just traveled takes secondary burn damage for the next round.

Combat Tactics

  1. The Searing Loop: Fire Fight prefers to "port" behind an enemy, trigger his thermal release, and immediately port to a different vantage point. This makes him incredibly difficult to pin down with melee attacks.

  2. Firewall Maneuver: He can use his teleportation in short, rapid successions to "paint" a circle of fire around a group of enemies, effectively trapping them in a ring of plasma.

  3. Heat Absorption: He is immune to fire-based attacks. In fact, if he is hit by a fire power, he can use that energy to increase the Range or Damage Scale of his next teleportation jump.

Roleplaying & Hooks

  • Appearance: Even in his human form, Aiden’s skin feels unnaturally warm to the touch. His hair is a shocking, burnt orange, and he often smells faintly of ozone and charred wood.

  • The Downside: His teleportation is loud. It sounds like a literal explosion followed by the roar of a blowtorch. He is the opposite of a "stealth" character; he is a distraction specialist.

  • Potential Hook: Fire Fight is looking for a team that can handle "high-velocity extraction." He needs someone to provide the "tanking" while he zips in to pull VIPs out of burning buildings or high-security labs—literally turning them into plasma for a split second to get them out safely (though the experience is notoriously terrifying for the passenger).
