One of the first things I ran into was using Tegel Manor with Dungeon Crawl Classics which is a bloody brilliant move for a dungeon master. The second source material that I ran into is the Bat In The Attic Blog's "Recommendations for the original Wilderlands of High Fantasy" which isn't bad at all for fans of Judge's Guild. The research into many of the Judge's Guild products has been interesting to say the least. There's a part of me that wants to get back to the uncluttered simplicity of the Wilderlands.
A counter-factual cover to Wilderlands of High Fantasy
with art by Esteban Maroto came across this one Pin interest.
While looking up opinions Shield Maidens of Sea Rune on the Necromancer Games forum I ran across this thread. And there in lay an adventure path that I could use with Tegel Manor.
The Mines of Custalacon (JG111)
The Spies of Lightelf (JG270)
Shield Maidens of Sea Rune (JG1010)
The Pirates of Hagrost (JG1030)
The Witches Court Marshes (JG1090)
Surprisingly these modules are actually within date of publication order & these lovelies are something that I might drag as well as drop into my own sandbox campaign. I'm getting kickstartered out at the moment & OSR reviewed out as well. I'm going to get back to writing & DIY Dungeons & Dragons designing my own material on this blog. I'll be right back into sliding back into the classic B/X & Advanced Dungeons & Dragons modules as well.
I've got a few ideas about running & modifying out some of the JG modules to fit my current mixed science fantasy campaign. I've got to look through the campaign notes, go back to the archives, & start writing up my material. There's some great post apocalyptic angles with Shield Maidens of Sea Rune (JG1010) that I'm planning on exploiting. I run Shield Maidens of Sea Rune (JG1010) in the past with Astonishing Swordsmen & Sorcerers of Hyperborea quite successfully. In fact a bit too successfully because I had players using the module as background for their Amazon PC's!? This module was supposed to be a one off but the strength of the module allows the DM to modify the material as needed & not ruin the whole affair.
This very thing allowed me to hook the Wilderlands of High Fantasy back into Gary Gygax's Greyhawk. The crossover was very simplistic & solid for player's PC's to cross from one campaign world over to the other.
