"There is much to worry about in the mutated world of the future, but Baron Jemmas, Warder of Horn, has more on his mind that most. In recent weeks several of the outlying towns of his Barony have been wiped out by a band of mysterious golden marauders."
"These creatures struck from nowhere and vanished without a trace when their deeds were done. The Warder has decided that they must be stopped before the entire Barony of Horn falls beneath their onslaught, and so he is offering a great reward to anyone who can defeat the Legion of Gold."
One my Twitter followers came up with a rather brilliant idea when I mentiond Gamma World second edition rpg. According to
, " Lots of Gamma World adventures were awesome for putting into planet side Traveller situations. The reach has a ton of blasted planets that you can us. Let's me use the material from Gamma World I never had the chance to play. There are some great scenarios." And this got me thinking about our Kosmo 68 & Hostile Rpg Crossover Game Campaign. And that got me thinking about GW1 Legion of Gold By Gary Gygax, Luke Gygax, & Paul Reiche III. What if the cybernetic menaces & failed colonies are actually the Terra of GW1?! With a quick backhanded sly flourish of Cepheus Atom & Afterday it's easily doable in spades. The failed colony is run by the Commissioner of Horn & his people are disappearing with the both the Legion of Gold & the Zhuki menace.
Suddenly that trip to the second hand black market on Bavda IV makes a whole lot more sense. The party is going to be seeing a lot more mutant comrades in the next couple of sessions. As we set up events for the sandbox that is GW1 !
These events also give some excellent reasons for the incredible levels of technology in our campaign.
The Commissioner of Horn has used his connections with the Green/Red bratva to make connections with Allard Electronics. And then bring in the Tiger mercenaries to run down what's been happening both to his colonists & the rest of the world.
Meanwhile the A.I. responisble for churning out the Legion has been running since the second Recesssion.
The rest of Terra crashed & burnt without the resources of the mega corporations. And then the atomics or other energy weaponry flew.
Entrophic weaponry was employed after finding stockpiles of the Ancients weapons. Destruction & mutation went rampant. With Ensteinian physics involved the damage was highly extensive.

So we use the sandbox approach to show the damage done to the former Terra colony.
And this could lead right into GW2 Famine in Far Go easily with a Soviet style twist up. Yeah, we're so going to do this!
