The War of the Worlds Godzilla 1898! - A Troll Lord Games Victorious rpg Campaign Session Report

So never let it be said that we're ever ones to let a good opportunity slip by us when it comes to our 'The War of the Worlds Godzilla 1898! game' & this session picks up right where last week's left off. During tonight's game we finally had the player's PC's square off against the offspring of Zilla in the bowels of a micro island's ruins off the coast of New York City. But there was already someone fighting the radioactive lizard offspring! A group of dead heroes lay around a lone figure! The lone figure was in fact a spawn of Frankenstein named Victor battling on wards under the influence of a rage of horror at the deaths of his companions.

The Zilla eggs had been taken by the Martians from Maple White Land on another Earth & brought here as part of a bio weapons program by the Martians. Victor & his compatriots had followed the Martians across planar breach. And only he survived. But originally the adventurers had followed  'The  cult of Drelzna' a vampiric cult that had cut a deal with the Martians for the eggs in return for certain magical artifacts. Originally we  would use a combination of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's The Lost World & S4 The Lost Caverns of Tsojcanth set up upon the prehistoric plateau complete with a connection to The Forgotten Temple of Tharizdun. But now that's been changed up with AD&D first edition's supermodule S1-4Realms of Horror.

Our paladin is from my Castles & Crusades version of the Wilderlands of High Fantasy & he was not pleased at all about hearing about vampire cults down in Victor's Earth version Mexico & South Ameria. Then again he wasn't thrilled with Victor at all during tonight's game. Sir John has his own axe to grind thanks to the Otherside Blog's entry Classic Adventures Revisited: S4 The Lost Caverns of Tsojcanth from November 18th.
The player is very worried that after reading Tim Brannan's blog entry that I'll be diving back into HS4 The Lost Caverns of Acheron, as a part of the back story on current Victorious rpg Earth's background. Which of course I'll be doing! Because its always good when the player suggests digging his PC into the game deeper. Our paladin is based on this piece of artwork from the  'Road to Adventure' Kickstarter

The party of adventurers having recruited 'Victor' whose now become a player's PC is on the move back to New York City. They have a score to settle now with Dr.Charles Clamonot the detestable head  occultist belonging to the cult of Asmodeus. The party now thinks he's actually the front for a cult of Tharizdun!

The party arrives in New York & made its way to the coven's temple complex located deep below the bowels of a theater & occult book store. The whole place seemed deserted but a strange rite was going on! The player's PC's burst into through an underground wall & chaos ensued! The cult was about to sacrifice a lone pallid armored figure on a stone altar.
Behind the altar was a Martian priest waiting to invoke dark magics & perhaps call in one of their Lovecraftian gods from beyond the pale! Yeah that didn't happen when Liz came in with her version of Fantomah, Daughter of the Pharaohs.
After her wizard was killed off earlier the game by the Queen of Hearts I grabbed a copy of
The Three Lives of Fantomah: Daughter of the Pharaohs by NUELOW Games

Liz managed to save our armored sacrifice & the party blasted the Martian priest! They still have to deal with a plethora of 'Satanists' armed with Martian teleforce weaponry straight outta of outta  the TLG 77051 Victorious: Hunter & Hunter Catalog.
