Expedition To The Deep Session Report #2 - The Free Gamma World Adventure GW5 'Rapture From the Deep' & X7 The War Rafts of Kron by Bruce Nesmith With The Castles & Crusades Rpg Aligned With The Star Ship Warden Rpg book

If you've been reading our recent brush with GW5 Rapture of the Deep. The free Gamma World adventure 'Rapture of the Deep'  right over here at Wayne's Books. Then you know that our little gang of Amazing Adventures & Castles & Crusades hellions saved a town along what's left of the Florida pan handle. The party isn't quite ready to tackle the underwater ruins & the cryptic alliance responsible for the attacks without gathering more information.

So I needed a town for last night's game pronto! And that brought a light bulb moment!  Here was an adventure  opportunity. And that was the  introduction of the fact that the player's PC have stumbled into the terroritial waters of  the Minrothad Guilds. That's right with a bit of slight of hand the PC's have found themselves in a Floridan  town with a missing princess & a shortage of supplies. The guild leaders were very sorry that they were out of so many adventuring supplies but there's a little matter of disrupted trade & a missing princess of course. This is a set up for Bruce Nesmith's X7 The War Rafts of Kron.  Because it presents a perfect expansion of the underwater empire from 'Rapture of the Deep'

Things follow the usual X7 adventure route but then start to take a turn for the worst; "The sea-bound Minrothad Guilds hire the player characters for a delicate task. For months the sea trade routes have been raided by pirates, but their latest success stirs great political unrest, for the princess of Ierendi has disappeared during her voyage on one of the Guild's ships".
We've already had one of the player's PC's messing down on the shore of the village that was attacked & decided to introduce a Gamma World classic mutant monster. The fool almost succumbed to a gas attack  in the form of a black Raydium ( a mutant manta ray). One of the villagers saved the PC's life & the party's other Elven ranger Billie Smith communicated with the flock apologizing to them. The raydiums are the creation of Roger E.Moore of classic TSR & Dragon magazine fame. They first appeared in the classic Dragon magazine issue #75.
