Call of Cthulhu Mail Call - And More In The Box

 

Today was Call of Cthlhu rpg day here at Casa De Fabiaschi with a nice box of goodies arriving from the mail person. We took advantage of a lapse in judgement on the part of a contact of one of my players whose wife made him get rid of a bunch of stuff. So this box of goodies is a virtual tour of Pulpy Western setting & campaign goodness with Down Darker Trails from Chaosium. This is followed by 'A Cold Fire Within' a Pulp Cthhlu rpg adventure of madness & time travel. Again this wasn't to be passed up as the Mrs wanted her husband's  recent perchases gone. So his loss was myself & my fellow DM's gains especially with 'A Cold Fire Within' ; "Brendan Sterling sought answers in experimental past-life regression. Unfortunately, his mind isn’t the only one seeking answers in the past.

A Cold Fire Within is a campaign for Pulp Cthulhu. Set in 1935, a missing persons case leads to the discovery of a foul plot that could change time itself and bring disaster to the world. A cult intent on unleashing the power of the Great Old Ones leaves a trail through the Catskill Mountains and into the very heart of the planet!"

Within the subterranean world of K’n-yan, the heroes will encounter forgotten secrets, strange lore, and bewildering inhabitants. Curious cities of gold, ruined temples, and dark forests are just some of the terrors that lurk below the ground. Yet, before the heroes descend into nightmare, they must contend with remnants of ancient worlds, unruly mountain people, and psychic devilry. Along the way, the heroes may find that going back to the end of an ancient city is the only answer! Perhaps in Lomar’s doom shall they unlock the secrets of both past and present." 
There's also a copy of  Pulp Cthulhu tucked in there & it looks very sweet indeed. This one has been  in the offering for a long time now. But Harry was real sorry to see these go. But his loss is our gain. 

But the real treasure here is snagging all three of the main Delta Green books at a more then reasonable price. These treasures were ones that have been eluding us for some time especially the last book in the campaign series Delta Green: Eyes Only. 

These books could be very useful not only for Call of Cthlhu rpg but possibly as the basis for a Troll Lords Amazing Adventure campagin coming up. There are couple of ideas rattling about DM Steve's head about either Amazing Adventures or Troll Lord game's Victorious rpg. 

Or the other possibility is to run straight through Pulp Cthulhu rpg system but its gonna depend upon the other DM's & players that we deal with on a regular basis. So its all going to come down to a popular opinion around the table top.
