So its 2016 and we're already seeing new material rumors for Astonishing Swordsmen and Sorcerers of Hyperborea. Everyone is excited about the release of Slave Lord series from Wizards of the Coast. I'm far more excited to see information coming out about Port Greely which is partially based on HP Lovecraft's Shadow over Innesmouth along with AS&SH author's twisted imaginations. There's brand new information on the AS&SH hard back as well; " What a fantastic milestone, and a nice way to ring in the new year.
2016 is going to be a great year for AS&SH. We will publish the
hardcover edition of the game, with new classes, spells, monsters, and
magic items; also, clarifications, errata cleaned up, and more!
(Complete compatibility with boxed set edition, though.)
We've
also got new adventures in the pipeline, including "The Mystery at Port
Greely" (Talanian), "The Beasts of Kraggoth Manor" (Callahan), "The
Anthropophagi of Xamboola" (Walden), and "The Sea-Wolf's Daughter"
(Talanian). Happy New Year, fellows. I leave you with this fantastic
illustration by Del Teigeler, one of several he is illustrating for "The
Mystery at Port Greely."
So here's what's going on with the AS&SH Adventure ,"The Mystery at Port Greely"
Until recently, the peculiar village of Port Greely was renowned as one
of the most prolific exporters of crustaceans in the realm. Then, about
three years ago, the Greely lobstermen severed all ties with outside
partners. Subsequent attempts at renegotiation were shunned. More
recently, a small group of Fishmongers’ Guild representatives from the
City-State of Khromarium has gone missing in Port Greely, and answers
have been less than forthcoming. At present, the guild seeks answers.
They want to know what became of their representatives, and they wish to
reestablish their lucrative partnership with the Port Greely
lobstermen. Your party has been contracted to help resolve the mystery
at Port Greely.
